2021 Postage Rates for USPS Marketing Mail
USPS Marketing Mail is the classification that is commonly used for mailing catalogs, flyers, postcards, trifolds, small parcels, and other advertising mail.
The new 2021 postage rates were recently filed and the postage rate increase will be effective January 24, 2021. Check your January 2021 mail dates and see whether you need to move anything up to avoid paying the new postage rates.
If you mail catalogs, postcards, trifolds, gatefolds, or other direct mail pieces at the letter rate, then your increase will be around 0.771% in 2021.
If your direct mail campaigns qualify for the flat rate, then your 2021 postage increase will be higher — about 3.553%.
And if you mail parcels, then be prepared for a hefty increase in your costs.

Fortunately the Marketing Mail promotions will continue to be offered in 2021 during select times of the year. The USPS promotions typically offer a 2% discount on postage for promotions such as Informed Delivery and Mobile Shopping.
